The auxiliary air suspension offers the possibility to (to a limited extent) regulate suspension problems by yourself. With air suspension, a distinction must be made between vehicles with leaf and coil springs. With leaf-suspended vehicles, as in this case, an air bellows is mounted between the chassis and the rear axle to support the existing leaf spring.
